Exploration 3 result

I ended up choosing to use the white background rendering as I did not have enough time to reshoot it with a proper background. In the future I will pay more attention to the color choice when keying out the background is the intention. I still learned a great deal about chroma keying in After Effects as well as Final Cut Pro X, the two programs have their benefits depending on what you are doing as they are designed for two different tasks.

Cinema 4D liquid

Today I learned how to use Realflow 5 to generate a particle simulation and render it with a translucent glass texture in Cinema 4D this is the resulting render, with more to come when time permits.

Exploration 3 progress

I shot the animation using a white background with the intention of keying in another background and this was unsuccessful because of the reflections on the objects. I decided to keep the white background as it looks okay with the objects being used, using a different background may draw attention away from the animation.

Exploration 3 concept

Exploration 3 is making an animation going from total chaos gradually to an animation based upon a film we took in nature. I am using a fish jumping in a bayou as the video clip. I wanted to make the animation have a creepy feel to it so I am using a sound clip from Helevator by Two Steps from Hell. We were only allowed to use royalty free sound clips or music we had the rights to use, Two Steps from Hell stated that they do not mind if their music is used for education or personal projects as long as a profit will not be made.

Exploration 2 recap

For the final of exploration 2 I revised the original ball bounce after Morgans critique, in which he pointed out that it paused at the bottom. The rest of the animations were completed without an in between critique. I used the concepts Morgan taught me from the first ball bounce attempt to complete the rest and they turned out successful with the acception of too much squash and stretch.
